FRI. 1/2, 7 – 10 PM – Seattle Composers Salon kicks off its 10th season and the new year with a New Music Holiday Office Party for Seattle area composers and performers (and devoted listeners) of experimental and adventurous music. DJ Snoopy Santa + door prizes + other stuff. Free admission (bring food and non-alcoholic beverages)


WED. 1/7, 7:30 PM – Subtext Reading Series & Nonsequitur present Kurt Schwitters‘ epic sound poem Ur Sonata, performed by Kristen Loree and with visuals by artist Jack Ox; + Loree performs By Language Embellished by composer Stuart Saunders Smith

THU. 1/8, 8 PM – Is That Jazz? Festival: Christian Asplund + Cipher

FRI. 1/9, 8 PM – Dale Speicher, percussion

SAT. 1/10, 7 PM – Ong Ong #5 zine release party with various musical guests; Mr. Rogers’ Bubbleland Opera! Tom Carroll jumps through a wall! The Sisters Carnahan shadow play!
