Daniel Levin News

From New York cellist Daniel Levin

On Thursday night at Jalopy, at 10:30 pm, it will be back to the traditional line-up, with Nate Wooley on trumpet, Matt Moran on vibes and Peter Bitenc on bass. Peter has played with my quartet occasionally for several years, and joined the band as a regular member last summer, for our trip to Sardinia. He is featured on the next Daniel Levin Quartet cd coming out on Clean Feed in 2009. The cover is $10. Jalopy’s website here.

In other news, I recently updated my website with new music, including tracks from the just-released Daniel Levin Trio record “Fuhuffah” (Clean Feed 129) with Ingebrigt Haker Flaten and Gerald Cleaver. I also have a new press page with updated reviews of “Blurry” (HatOLOGY 653) and a new interface, as well as some other changes.
