Lambic is a style of Belgian ale that is spontaneously fermented from airborne wild yeasts in the Senne Valley. Like it’s namesake, Lambic’s music is constantly shifting and evolving, and always exciting. Stephen (Alice Donut) and Percy (Brand X) go way back together, having played in the late ’70’s with Noise-R-us and The Quality Trio.8/7 Thursday (MP)

MV Carbon
MV Carbon (cello, electronics)
M.V. Carbon plays cello through an array of electronics and combines it with light sensitive oscillations and pulsations. She uses analog synthesizers to create base drone tracks that are layered to form intonations that evoke meditative tendencies. Analog reel-to-reel tape machines are used to pick up the natural delay of each particular room space that she performs in. She carries the listener through different realms of consciousness by using variations in repetition and subtle changes in frequency.10 pm

Avant-garde master-mind from Charleston, South Carolina. Born in the Lowcountry and raised on a boat with only powered eggs to eat, he chews on his own hands. An Art Institute of Chicago dropout, Mcalister has founded his own damb institute. He substitutes human students with dolls whom he teaches singing and recital of hallucinogenic stories. Mcalister stears the vessel straight into the infinite void with humaor and atonal strumming.8/9 Saturday (RK)

Nat Baldwin
Nat Baldwin (contrabass, voice)
New Hampshire native Nat Baldwin plays the upright bass and sings, and takes both of those things to their limit, perfecting a sound that he can call entirely his own. His approach to the bass is experimental and endlessly creative, though never showy or overdone. He is an ex-member of Dirty Projectors, and has studied under legendary composer and multi-instrumentalist Anthony Braxton.10 pm
