Formed in 2002 Pateras/Baxter/Brown have performed countless concerts throughout Australia, New Zealand and Europe, developing a worldwide reputation for their uncompromising, intensely focused and remarkably fluid live shows. Using the unique combinations of prepared piano, prepared guitar and percussion, Pateras/Baxter/Brown allude to numerous traditions of percussive-based contemporary and traditional music, including contemporary classical chamber music, rarefied improvisation and non-western percussive traditions such as gamelan.
