Rodrigues, Sehnaoui, Sehnaoui – Sable

Another promising post from Free Albums Galore, this one an EP of electroacoustic music.

Sable EP is undeniably a difficult listen. It starts out aggressively and is relenting, only briefly letting the listener relax before the next onslaught. The amazing thing about this “electroacoustic” improvisational work is that it is primarily acoustic with white noise and feedback effects serving as a droning background. Violin, guitar and saxophone are played in such unusual ways that you may not be able to recognize them. It is certainly safe to say that you may have never heard these instruments played with such ferocity. The result is a richly complex if harsh 20 minute track . Again I present an album that is not for everyone but those who wish to persevere will find themselves rewarded.
