Thee Maximalists

This supergroup of sorts is playing soon in Baltimore.

THEE MAXIMALISTS band and show!
(new and improved)
A Dynamic Intstru-mental Pop Combo!

WITH:
Keith Macksoud – Bass (Present)
Paul Sears – Drums (The Muffins, Chainsaw Jazz, Fred Frith, etc.)
Yanni Papadopoulos – Guitar (Courtesy THE GREAT Stinking Lizaveta)
Mark Stanley – Guitar (Farquhar, Chainsaw Jazz, Andy Partridge, Dennis Chambers)

Special guest WERBINOX – voice at ORION

This is a newish group, recently expanded to a quartet, and is improvising guitar, bass and drums that brings together elements of Present, (Keith Macksoud – Bass) Stinking Lizaveta, (Yanni Papadopoulos-Guitar) Farqhuar, (Mark Stanley-Guitar) and The Muffins-Chainsaw, Jazz. Etc. (Paul Sears-Drums) They bring together a wealth of influences and the result is a full & quite intense sound that could be compared to latter day King Crimson in improv mode, Fred Frith’s Massacre, early Tony Williams Lifetime, and other contemporary instrumentalists. Though definitely a part time project for these 4 well known players, gigs and recordings are planned. Come on down…take a chance! At Orion Sound Studios in Baltimore May 7, 2005.

We are having a big blowout and are recording at ORION before Keith and Paul get ready for PRESENT & MUFFINS gigs!
