Energies, Ideas, Intuitions: Anthony Braxton’s Tri-Centric Festival, described as “by far the most comprehensive portrait of the composer/multi-reedist yet presented in the United States,” will take place from October 5-8 at Roulette’s new performance space in Brooklyn. According to a press release, “Energies, Ideas, Intuitions encompasses opera, orchestral, chamber, solo, electro-acoustic, choral, and dance works, performed by leading interpreters of Braxton’s music from both the classical and improvised music worlds.” Braxton will perform or conduct every evening and each concert will include at least one U.S. or world premiere.
