Known for his no-holds-barred style, Danny Holt’s Piano/Percussion
Project places the pianist amid an array of percussion instruments, an
LP player, toy instruments and metronomes. The program will feature
Andrew Tholl’s hitting things won’t solve your problems (but it might
make you feel better), Sarah Seelig’s Tingsha, Oscar Bettison’s new An
Inventory of Remnants, and Liza White Ballad of the Mean Angry Jazz
Hater Monster! These works will be interspersed with CalArts pianists

Through a repertoire that reaches from Bach to contemporary music,
Emanuele Arciuli has established himself as one of the most original,
energetic, scholarly and imaginative contemporary concert performers.
His program centers around the Concord Sonata by Charles Ives, pairing
it with James Tenney’s own meditation on the sonata, and includes
works by Native American composers Barbara Croall and Raven Chacon.
Arciuli has a formed deep relationship with the artists and music of
United States, and his sustained interest and commitment to Native
American culture has led to the creation of pieces for him by several
