In a ceremony timed to the 25th anniversary of Zappa’s Senate testimony, at which he compared the labeling of explicit records to censorship, and attended by Zappa’s widow, Gail, his sons, Dweezil and Ahmet, and daughter Diva, as well as Baltimore’s mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, a bust of the mustachioed, pony-tailed Zappa was unveiled atop a 12-foot pole outside the Southeast Anchor Branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library.

The several times they have met and played together since then has made them aware that there was no alternative for their boundless energies and creativity than to set out on this duo format for their rich musical expressions. Passion and intelligence is what gives these world class improvisers their platform for the most magical of music making. Their inspired performances make no demands on the listener other than to just let their ingenious visions appear. This performance has been generously supported by The Polish Cultural Institute.
