BARGEMUSIC (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) The wondrously subdued music of the American original Morton Feldman, whose pieces evolve in long, mostly slow spans of rhythmic riffs and unconventional sounds, has been gaining adherents since his death in 1987. The adventurous and excellent Flux Quartet presents a rare series of three all-Feldman programs at Bargemusic, Brooklyn’s floating chamber music hall, opening on Friday with the Quartet No. 1. Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m., Bargemusic, Fulton Ferry Landing, Brooklyn, (718) 624-2083, bargemusic.org; $25; $20 seniors and $20 students. (Anthony Tommasini)
MATMOS AND SO PERCUSSION (Wednesday) Matmos, the electronic music duo, and So Percussion, the inventive percussion quartet, join forces (with contributions from Lichens, or Robert Lowe) on a program of works from their collaborative recording, “Treasure State” (Cantaloupe). At 7:30 p.m., Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker Street, Greenwich Village , (212) 505-3474, lepoissonrouge.com; $16 in advance, $18 at the door. (Kozinn)
ORCHESTRA OF THE LEAGUE OF COMPOSERS (Monday) Two premieres and three New York premieres are on an enticing program that the Orchestra of the League of Composers/ISCM (the historic society for contemporary music) will present at the Miller Theater. And John Schaefer, the WNYC radio announcer, will interview all the composers throughout the program: Milton Babbitt, D. J. Sparr, Joan Tower, Jason Treuting and the ageless Elliott Carter. Monday at 8 p.m., Miller Theater, at Columbia University, Broadway and 116th Street , (718) 622-3005, millertheater.com; $10 to $20. (Tommasini)
TRIBECA NEW MUSIC FESTIVAL (Saturday and Monday through Wednesday) The dynamic Jack Quartet opens this personable festival’s inaugural uptown venture on Saturday. Monday brings the young composer-performers Andy Akiho, Timothy Andres, Leah Coloff and Ted Hearne. And electronic artists Bora Yoon, Pamela Z and Luke DuBois work alongside the vocal quartet New York Polyphony on Wednesday. YARN/WIRE (Saturday) Bartok first combined two pianos and two percussionists for a 1937 sonata, inventing a format later fruitfully exploited by George Crumb; credit this intrepid quartet with expanding the repertory for the cumbersome but potent mix. This concert, the second in a series devoted to New York composers, includes pieces by Alex Mincek, Sam Pluta, Kate Soper and Eric Wubbels. At 8 p.m., Roulette, 20 Greene Street, at Grand Street, SoHo , (212) 219-8242, roulette.org; $10. (Smith)
