NUBLU JAZZ FESTIVAL (Friday through Thursday) For the last seven years the East Village club Nublu has promulgated a downtown mix of jazz, club music and international groove. For much of this month a similar sound prevails at its first annual jazz festival, with artists like the Dave Allen Quartet, led by its namesake guitarist (Friday); a cosmopolitan trio led by the pianist Jason Lindner (Sunday); and the vocalist Pyeng Threadgill, with her band (Tuesday). He has lately been producing serious results as a composer, a side of his personality that figures prominently in this concert with Taylor Ho Bynum on cornet, Aaron Stewart on woodwinds and John Escreet on piano. Sharing billing on the concert, a production of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians, is Ms. Myers, a pianist and composer of restlessly broad imagination; she performs with the vocalist Janet Jordan and the violist Judith Insell.
