Devoting a program to Minimalist and microtonal compositions could easily amount to an egghead agenda; leave it to the American Modern Ensemble to make it a party instead. Arriving concertgoers at the Galapagos Art Space in Dumbo, Brooklyn, for a program titled “m&m’s: microtones & minimalism” on Tuesday night were greeted with martini glasses filled with complimentary M&M candies. Flyers and announcements hawked the “American Modern-tini,” a custom-made concoction. (Diligence urged sampling; common sense dictated otherwise.)
